Cup date for Halifax with Ionians

HALIFAX RUFC have been handed a home tie in the first round of next season's Yorkshire Cup competition.
Fellow National Three (North) foes Hull Ionians, who include former Halifax players Carl Mortimer and Andy Gravil in their ranks, visit Ovenden Park for the game to be played on or before April 8 2009.
Beaten Yorkshire Shield finalists Old Brodleians begin their quest to go one better in the competition with a trip to a York side who suffered relegation from North Two East last time out.
Brods were beaten 22-5 by Sandal in last season's final after going through their Yorkshire Two league season unbeaten.
Heath host fellow Yorkshire One side Sheffield in a tie to be played to be played on or before November 22.
