HALIFAX Harriers will be in North One West for 2009 after a dramatic final round.
Halifax had to fight for every available point in their last meet of the season at Macclesfield, which was dominated by the home side in their battle with Bolton to decide the league winner.

de who, like Halifax, were also in with a chance of relegation.
In the under 17 men's section Paul Willis ran 12.8seconds for the 100m and 26.1 for the 200m and won the triple jump.
Ben Hartley Parker weighed in with a G4 triple jump of 10.96m and was just outside a G4 in the long jump while leaping over five metres. He also ran a 13.3 in the 100m.
Lee Drury picked up a G4 in 2.09.8 minutes in the 800m and was narrowly outside a 400m G4 performance finishing in 57.3 seconds.
Mikie Gaughan was second in the 1500m in 4:44 and Gareth Burrell was second in the 400m B second in the 3000m and third in the javelin.
The under 17 women saw Louise Royston run 14.4seconds for the 100m and 43.3 seconds in the 300m. She completed her afternoon with first in the 800m in a time of 2:24.4.
Lorna Gill matched Royston's time in the 100m B race, was second in the 300m and won the 80m hurdles B race.
Beth Kerfoot-Roberts could only manage 16.4 in the 80m hurdles A race and as a result but she was second in the 200m and third in the javelin.
Lorna Dodd was second in the shot, second in the 200m B race and won the discus.
Alana Walker came second in the B shot putt and third in the discus. Hannah Pilkington picked up the final points with a second in the 800m B race, second in the 300m hurdles B and got a bonus point in the 1500m.
The under 15 boys were rewarded for their efforts, the pick being Sam Kerfoot-Roberts in the 800m with a G2 time of 2:09 seconds.
He followed that up with a G3 in the 200m in 25.3seconds and a third in the shot.
Patrick Costello ran 12.9 seconds in the 100 for a G4, 56.5 seconds in the 400m and 5.01m in the long jump for another G4.
Kieran Royston ran 61.5 for a G4 in the 400m and 2:17.7 for another G4 in 800m.
Kieron Nieustad was second in the hammer and discus. Callum Hanson finished of with a G4 time of 14.4seconds in the 80m hurdles.
In the under 15 girls, Josie Bower was third in the 100m, 14.2 seconds and second in the 200m, 29 seconds.
She was second in the shot with 7.87m for a G3.
Under 13 boys newcomer Harry Mallinson came third in the 100m and second in the 200m picking up two G4s.
Lewis Wardle bagged grade 3s in both his 100m and 200m with times of 13.8 and 28.1 seconds with Jerome Castelow running a season-best 1500m of in 5:07 seconds for a G3.
William Bates picked up a G4 in the high jump with Joseph Bowmen and Niall Few, made up the rest of the scoring.
Holly Callaghan made a welcome return after a lengthy lay off and ran an excellent 1200m winning in a time of 4:05.7 for a G2.
Kate Wasyliw, also returning after injury, was first in the 75m in 10.4 seconds for a G1.
