WARLEY Greens and HAFC under 10s played out a thriller in the Belgrave League with HAFC winning 4-3.
Warley deservedly took the lead through Alex Healey but HAFC pressed resulting in defender Seth Daker turning the ball into his own net to make it 1-1.
Greens quickly reacted and and made it 2-1 again through the outstanding Healey after some good
following up from a Gregory Hudson-Hunter shot.
HAFC replied with keeper Jack Leonard well beaten by Mark Everingham before Alex Healey completed his hat-trick taking the Greens to a 3-2 half time lead.
Warley came out the stronger in the second half only for Everingham to score his second against the run of play making it 3-3. Warley pushed hard for a winner through Gareth Walker, Tom Wood and Matt Stoker but a late scramble in the Warley box saw a wild HAFC shot take a wicked deflection off the back of Hudson-Hunter giving Jack Leonard no chance.
A last minute shout for a Warley penalty for handball was denied, giving HAFC a 4-3 win.
Boothtown and Crossley Swifts fought out an entertaining 4-4 draw.
Both sides wasted good chances before Boothtown went ahead through Sam Sinclair after which a Bradley Madin calmly finished off a neat move involving Nathan Field, Josh Langan and Sinclair.
Langan stretched the lead to 3-0 before Crossleys battled back and deservedly pulled one back before the break.
The second half belonged to Crossleys, who stormed into a 4-3 lead, with two goals a piece from Bobby Beattie and Jamie Crabtree.
However, just as it looked like they would hold out for a victory, Madin equalised with his second goal five minutes from the end.
Northowram enjoyed a 3-0 win over Greetland Stars
Stars started brightly and played the better football, although Northowram always looked dangerous going forward. The half looked to be heading for a stalemate until slack defending allowed Northowram to bang one in from close range.
Not long after the interval a cheap free kick was presented to Northowram from midfield which left the keeper rooted to the spot as the ball sailed into the top corner.
The misery was compounded by a poor kick from the Stars keeper that went straight down the throat of the Northowram midfielder, who struck it first time into an empty net.
