HALIFAX under 15s continue to impress as they romped to a 79-7 success over Baildon.
Halifax opened the scoring after just two minutes with an excellent break from the back of a scrum by James Griffin who passed back inside for Dan Stebbens to cross. George Robinson followed up immediately with a barnstorming break from his own half
to make it 12-0.
Robert Lofthouse moved the home team further in front before Luke Sturman took advantage of good interplay to score his first try, converted by Joe Gallagher.
Gareth Poole ran through and set up Sturman for his second before Baildon hit back with a try in the corner.
Elliot Fletcher came back for Halifax scoring a try after which another break through the centre from James Griffin. The conversion took the score to 41-7 at half time.
An improved Baildon showed character and spirit early in the second half, however, Halifax regained the momentum with Jack Higgins touching down.
Halifax continued to dominate, running in tries while Matt Tallis provided strong defensive support.
In the final stages, a cross kick taken by Kristian Sharples resulted in Nick Rawstone scoring and Joe Francis then showed strength to go over for Halifax's 13th try with the final touchdown going to Fletcher.
Old Rishworthians were handed a lesson at Huddersfield YMCA as they slipped to a 26-5 defeat
YM's strong running backs and a well drilled pack opened up an 19-0 lead in the first half.
Rishworthians brought on their substitutes for the second half and improved organisation and determination paid off with Seleznev picking up from the base of the scrum and driving on for 40 metres to touch down.
Rishworthians looked like they could start challenging YMCA but the optimism was short lived as the home side won a line-out and moved the ball to their backs with the full-back coming in to the line and running the angles to go over for the home team's fourth try which was well converted.

OLD Brods under 15s won 12-7 at Ilkley.
Brods started well and took a firm grip on the game in the early stages but wereunable to transfer their possession into points.
The visitors mounted several attacks from Patrick Costello and Will Rukhala but were thwarted near the home line.
The forwards gained the upper hand with strong play from Josh Halliwell, Chris Newton and Manolin Aspinall.
Brods started the second half the stronger but Ilkley got a converted breakaway try.
That brought the best out of the visitors and after strong running from Jonny Haunch, supported by Byron Gentles, Aspinall found space to score wide out.
Brods were well led by the half backs Phil Town and Danny Cole and from a good position the pair combined with the strong running Luke Cole to send in Sam Gallagher on an angled run to score near the posts, Town adding the final conversion.

OLD Brods under 16s showed their strength in depth as they beat Wharfedale 27-3 despite missing players due to injuries and county commitments.
Wharfedale went into an early lead as a result of a penalty under the posts but Brods fought back and were rewarded with a try when three quickly taken tap penalties took the ball deep into Wharfedale's 10 metre zone from where it was shipped out to the wing for Connor Martin to touch down.
Wharfedale had one further chance of scoring when they missed a penalty in front of the posts for a 6-3 lead but after that point all the constructive play came from Brods.
The forwards used the pick up and drive to good effect with props George Ashton and Gareth Moger forcing the opposition back on numerous occasions and helping to create two drop over tries for second row forward Dom Cooper.
Greig Robertson peeled off the back of a scrum for another score before forward Callum Leadbetter crashed over.
Winger Adam Dixon bagged the fifth and the additional points came from Jack DD Martin's conversion.

OLD Rishworthians under sevens were 8-5 winners over Keighley.
Thomas Georgiou, Jack Mallinson and Finn Sutcliffe scored one apiece before five try man Oliver Brian gave a display of clinical finishing.
The under eights as they secured a 5-5 draw.
Rishworthians took an early 4-1 lead with tries from Carrick Keighley-Payne, Corey White (2) and Tom Stott only for Keighley to level. Luke Sadler gave the Rishworthians a 5-4 lead but Keighley scoring again.

OLD Rishworthians under nines faced Keighley in, going down 6-2 despite tries from Oliver Swales and Callum Bell.
