Rugby union: Comfortable for Brods at Skipton

OLD Brods under 12s enjoyed a comfortable 40-0 success at Skipton.
Jonathan Spensley scored in the opening minutes with a short range try from a maul.
Sam Allen then crossed twice with runs starting from the halfway line.
Brods were comfortably ahead at the halfway point but in the second half the pack struggled against the big Skipton front row.
However, in a great linking move initiated by Mini Moger, the ball was passed wide to Spencer Gorman on the wing who went over again.
Sam Allen then picked up a third and was unlucky not to score again, his effort disallowed for double movement. Making up for that loss Jonathan Spensley drove over again to score the final try in the last minutes of the game. Conversions were made by Sam Allen, Michael Dunn and Murrey McKenzie
OLD Brods under 17s showed the strength of their squad as the provided over half of the West Yorkshire Under 17's side that beat Central Under 17's at Pontefract last weekend.
Brods flanker Josh Birkhead was a try scorer for West's in their 29-10 success.
