Director steps up to be Provident boss

A NEW managing director has been appointed at Provident Insurance in Halifax.
James Reader joined the firm five years ago and last year took on the role of finance director.
Tim Heavisides, group chief executive officer of Provident Insurance and Car Care Plan (Holdings), said: "James's appointment comes at an important time in Provident Insurance's development as it integrates within the wider GMAC Insurance family and prepares to launch the newly acquired GM UK insurance programme."
The company, in Hays Lane, specialises in motor insurance.
