Bridge paint job will last for 25 years

NORTH Bridge, Halifax, is getting a new coat of paint which should last for 25 years.
About 60 parking spaces beneath the bridge have been closed to make space for the scaffolding, which is expected to remain in place until the autumn.
The 138-year-old bridge, pictured with scaffolding and cladding, carries traffic from Halifax town centre towards Leeds and Bradford.
