Flats plan for rugby club

THE old Siddal Amateur Rugby League Club building at Backhold Lane, Siddal, Halifax, may get a new lease of life if Calderdale Council planning committee allows it to be transformed into six apartments.
Barry Caldicott, owner of Yorkshire Design Partnership, said: "We will be keeping the character of the building but expanding what is there."
Councillors will decide whether to grant permission before November 21.
