A SUSPECTED petrol bomb caused hundreds of pounds damage to a newly opened hair salon.
Hair Rehab had only been open five days before arsonists struck at the shop in Boothtown Road, Halifax.

The front door was kicked in and it is thought a petrol bomb was thrown in, setting fire to a chair.

The building suffered severe smoke damage, which meant the shop had to be shut.

Property developer Diane Fogarty bought the former New Inn a year ago and has transformed it into the salon with flats above.

"I am just gutted," she said. "Somebody has come in here and tried to destroy 12 months of hard work."

Police and fire experts are investigating.
