Two brothers were among three football fans from Bradford who died in a car crash as they returned home from watching England's World Cup qualifying match at Wembley, police disclosed.
Tony Worby, 25, and his 21-year-old brother Jonathan, of Rowlestone Rise, died at the scene after the car they were in left the M1 motorway and crashed into a road sign at around 9.40pm on Saturday night.

Gareth Rhodes, 23, of Lavell Mews, was tak
en to Rotherham District General Hospital, where he died a short time later.

South Yorkshire Police said the men were on their way back from London after watching England beat Kazakhstan 5-1 at Wembley stadium.

The accident happened at junction 32 of the northbound M1, near to the exit slip road to the M18, in South Yorkshire.

A police spokesman said it was believed the silver Ford Mondeo was travelling in the fast lane before it moved across the motorway to the hard shoulder, where it went over a barrier and struck a road sign.

All three men suffered head and internal injuries.

It is not yet known who was driving the car, the spokesman said.

He added: "An investigation is under way to establish the cause of the crash."

The spokesman said the families of the three men were devastated and had asked to be left alone to grieve in private.
