Shaymen ranked joint-lowest in 2026 Fan Engagement Index

The index ranks English football clubs on dialogue, governance and transparency, awarding up to 240 points to clubs overall based on the quality of their fan engagement.

Halifax are one of nine clubs, all in the National League, to score zero points across the categories, with all of those nine clubs also scoring zero points in the 2025 index.

The creators of the index say all of the data they collect is publicly available, via club, league and other websites and sources. It involves no surveying of fans or others and that they do not contact clubs directly during the process, to as closely as possible mirror the journey of a fan attempting to find out the information themselves, and to ensure fairness to all clubs.
